This paper develops a criticism of Kant’s transcendentalism, claiming that his idea reason fails to take into account the Darwinian continuum linking higher mammals and human primates. At same time, ontology epistemology fail consider fact humans are product contingent yet irreversible linguistic, cultural, Intentional (written with capital “I”) configuration their form life. The author favors pragmatism as viable alternative, draws upon John Dewey’s epistemic compromise (“warranted assertibility”), suggesting we can reduce doubt about objectivity our cognitive beliefs without actually attempting reach indubitable truth. On these grounds, argues against “compartmentalization” art respect politics, morality, normativity.
